1. Platform Operator and Purpose
Island Ferry Sumatra is operated by PT ISEA, Indonesia.
PT ISEA provides the technical platform and digital information service through which ferry operators may publish schedules, route information and operational updates.
Island Ferry Sumatra is an independent digital information platform that helps users search and view ferry schedules, routes, operator profiles and related travel information for Sumatra, the Mentawai Islands, the Telo Islands and other listed destinations.
By using this website, users acknowledge that the platform provides travel information and search functionality. It does not itself operate ferry services.
2. Responsibility for Ferry Information
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, ferry schedules, route details, vessel information, service notices and operational updates displayed on Island Ferry Sumatra are provided by the respective ferry operators or are based on information made available by those operators.
Each ferry operator remains solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and operational validity of the information related to its own services, including but not limited to:
- departure dates and departure times
- routes, ports and intermediate stops
- vessel assignments
- service availability
- delays, cancellations and rescheduled departures
- operator notices and public service updates
Island Ferry Sumatra does not control ferry departures, does not make operational decisions on behalf of ferry operators and does not guarantee that operator-provided information is free from errors, omissions or later changes.
3. Schedule Changes and Travel Verification
Ferry operations may change at short notice due to weather conditions, sea conditions, technical issues, operational decisions, port conditions, government instructions or other circumstances beyond the control of Island Ferry Sumatra.
All displayed ferry information should therefore be treated as travel planning information. Travellers are responsible for confirming essential departure details directly with the relevant ferry operator before travelling to the port, purchasing onward services or making time-sensitive travel arrangements.
4. No Transport Contract
Island Ferry Sumatra is not a ferry operator and is not a party to any transport contract between a traveller and a ferry operator.
Unless Island Ferry Sumatra expressly introduces a separate booking or payment service under additional terms, any ticket purchase, booking confirmation, passenger handling, cargo acceptance, boarding decision, refund matter, delay, cancellation or transport-related claim is handled solely between the traveller and the relevant ferry operator.
5. Operator Responsibility
Operators using Island Ferry Sumatra are responsible for maintaining their own public operator information, ferry information and schedule data accurately and in a timely manner.
Operators must not knowingly publish false, misleading, outdated or incomplete travel information. They are expected to update or correct schedule changes, cancellations and operational notices as soon as reasonably possible.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Island Ferry Sumatra shall not be liable for losses, costs, delays, missed connections, missed accommodation, additional transport expenses or other damages resulting from reliance on ferry schedule information, route information or operator-provided content displayed on the platform.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
7. Reporting Incorrect Information
Users who believe that ferry information displayed on Island Ferry Sumatra is incorrect, misleading or outdated may report the issue through the contact options provided on the website.
Island Ferry Sumatra may review reported content and, where appropriate, contact the relevant operator, request clarification or temporarily amend, flag or remove information from the platform.
8. Changes to These Terms
Island Ferry Sumatra may update these Terms and Conditions when the platform, its functionality or applicable requirements change. The version published on this website is the current version.
